"...Next, the Stow Chamber Orchestra Chorus joined the show for the Gloria, and the quality of the chorus was more than a pleasant surprise - it was a superb shock. Only 24 members are listed in the program, and yet the group sounded at least three times that size, due to excellently blended tone and careful attention to intonation and diction (the caliber of the group became apparent just a few seconds into the first movement of the piece, when I realized I was hearing two things lacking in far too many choral performances: tenors and consonants). In choirs, power like that comes from unity much more than from numbers, something the chorus’ music director, Edward A. Shure, obviously knows."
